In the late 1980's, the internet became a domestic "thing" and I applied for an email address. I was asked to pick a desired screen name for my profile, but all I could hear, and therefore think about, was the dial up modem squeaking away as it connected to AOL. I chose the name "Squeakmail". My online avatar became a fox - called "Squeak".
Around the same time, I qualified as a professional pilot. My avatar became a fox that could fly aircraft and was working as a charter pilot (flying freight and passengers), a flying instructor and eventually, a flight examiner. The charter pilot aspect had the Flying Fox traveling all over Western Europe. The instructing led him to Florida - and the examining spawned a database of Europeans that wished to travel to the USA to take advantage of his services. He started to put to use the knowledge and experience he had and was still gaining, to help organize the travel details for his students and flight exam applicants.
He had nothing to sell them. They were already traveling. He just helped them find the right flight across the Atlantic Ocean, not just the best price, but the best combination of departure airports, flight times, airlines and seat choices - then the most fun yet efficient rental car, the most convenient hotel for their choice of style (budget to luxury) and on through the most reliable restaurants, dinner shows and nighttime entertainment.
This guidance and planning helped them expand their need to travel to Florida into exciting, affordable, and interesting vacations. Many went on short Caribbean cruises - and, as cruising is such a fantastic pastime, he often went with them.

We don't just sell you, for example, a flight ticket (we actually CAN'T sell you a ticket) but we research and book the most attractive and convenient flight for you and then arrange for you to pay for it direct, at the airline price. Before you travel, we find out the most cost effective car parking options and which airport "gate" the flight is scheduled to depart from. On the day of travel, we monitor the flight progress to see that all is going well and is on time. If a delayed flight has the potential to cause a problem in some other aspect, we fix it before you even land at the destination - then contact you to tell you of the update.
